Which course do I need?

  • System Administrators

    Portasana for DTS Service Support Team System Administrators: Enroll onto all three training modules.

  • Super Users

    Portasana for BCHC clinical team/ service administrators: Enroll onto "for Super Users" and "for HCPs using Rio".

  • Health Care Professionals

    Portasana for all Rio Users with patient contact: Enroll onto the "Portasana for HCPs using Rio" course.

Available courses

How to access Portasana from Rio

First, navigate to the patient you want to view within Rio. If the patient has signed up to use Portasana, you will see a green circle in the top right corner. Click on it to launch Portasana.


An additional tab will open in Internet Explorer.



Portasana staff station requires Microsoft Edge to open. Click on the cog to open the tools menu and select open with Microsoft Edge.



A new window will open in Microsoft Edge in which your Smartcard will be authenticated for access to Portasana.



On completion of the authentication process you will be taken to the patient screen in Portasana for the same patient you clicked through from in Rio.
